⭐️Learning to Lead While Building a Business ⭐️

When I started this business in 2008, I didn’t plan to become an employer. I just needed to work, stay busy, and support my family. For the first year, I did everything alone —cleaning, scheduling, clients, buying supplies— all from memory and instinct.

As the business grew, I eventually had to bring people in. And that’s where the real learning started. Leading a team is not easy. Everyone has different personalities, expectations, and ways of working —and I had to learn how to guide, communicate, and trust in ways I wasn’t used to.

I’ve grown a lot in these years, but not without mistakes. I made mistakes that even today I still ask myself, “How did I not see that at the time?” I didn’t always know how to solve situations or how to do things better in that moment. And honestly, I’ve learned from every single person who has worked with us. Some weren’t the right fit for this type of work —and that’s okay. That doesn’t mean they’re not good people or not talented in other things. Others were good, and some were truly exceptional. And from all of them, I learned something.

We’ve had people going through difficult moments, people in transition, and others where we simply couldn’t understand each other. I wish some things had gone differently, especially when my own mistakes played a role and that’s why we didn’t continue working together. But even then —I learned. And I honestly wish every single one of them the best.

Building a business teaches you many things… but learning to lead people is the lesson that never stops.

And today, I’m truly grateful for the team we have. Each person who is with us now brings something important, and I appreciate them deeply. And I’m also grateful for everyone who passed through our company —because all of them, in their own way, helped shape the business we have today.
